Bulverde is a small town located northeast of San Antonio in Comal County, Texas. The town was founded in 1871 by German immigrants and was originally known as “New Berlin”. In 1873, the post office changed the town’s name to Bulverde, after a local creek.

Bulverde experienced rapid growth in the early 1990s as a result of its proximity to San Antonio and the increasing popularity of suburban living. The population of Bulverde has more than doubled since 1990 and now stands at over 4,000 residents.

Bulverde is known for its beautiful Hill Country scenery and its thriving community spirit. The town hosts numerous events throughout the year, including an annual Easter egg hunt, a Fourth of July parade and fireworks show, and a Christmas parade and tree-lighting ceremony.

Bulverde is also home to a variety of businesses and attractions, including the Bulverde Springs Golf Club and close to the Natural Bridge Caverns.
